About Me
Held in peace. Rising in hope.
My name is Sarah Gesink. I have been married to my husband Matthew for seven years and together we have two beautiful (and busy) little boys. In 2018, I graduated with a BFA in Industrial Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. By day, I design products for a consultancy. In my free time, I started Still Rising Studio as a personal outlet to share my artwork and my journey in faith. I believe creativity can be more than expression; it can be a form of healing. Through my work, I want to offer hope to those walking through darkness by pointing people toward restoration, peace, and a sense of feeling seen.
Our Story
Still Rising Studio is rooted in the quiet places where God gently restores what feels heavy and slowly brings light back in. It reflects the space between stillness and renewal - the lived process of healing, growing, and rising again.
Each handmade piece is a reminder that transformation is often quiet, and that even in still waters, something within us is being lifted.
My future goal is to open a physical Art Studio that will be a calm, faith-centered space to learn and create without pressure. Classes designed to feel gentle and encouraging, rooted in quiet trust and guided by grace. Here, learning is steady, hands-on, and restorative.
Our hand-crafted pieces are designed to bring a unique, boutique feel to your space while carrying a story based in light and purpose. Each piece is created with faith at its center, so you can fill your home with beauty that feels peaceful and uplifting.
My personal mission is to share what I’ve learned as a Christian living within an art world that is often influenced by darkness, confusion, and spiritual practices that don’t lead to peace. Instead, I’ve chosen to use my artistic gifts as a reflection of Christ’s light, truth, and love.
