Starting Still Rising Studio

Stillness in knowing God has control. Rising in faith continuously.

There’s a unique dilemma in pursuing an artistic career and maintaining a bold faith in God.

As is common for artistic types, I’ve carried a lot of emotional turmoil inside for the majority of my life. I’ll be making a more in depth post in the near future, but to sum it up, I’ve struggled with depression for half of my life.

Over the past year I have leaned deeply into trusting God in every situation, big or small. I found myself at a major crossroads that would change the course of my life, which is when I surrendered every fear to God and let go of the “what-if’s”.

The following day, God delivered me and my family through the most spectacular miracle I’ve ever heard of. We were healed mind, body and soul. Every prayer we had prayed answered in a single moment, and the Holy Spirit covered us in impossible joy and peace.

In the wake of this miracle, I realized that my future goals needed to be rewritten. I had always had a dream of selling my art as a side job, but now I could create something special that used my gifts as a way to share the goodness of God. Enter Still Rising Studio.

The story is in the name, we may be still rising in our journey to be more like Jesus, or still rising in our healing journeys, or perhaps if we are stuck in a dark season of life we can simply be “still” in knowing that God is holding us and has a plan even in the unknown. Wherever your story lands, Still Rising Studio is a place that offers peace, stillness, beauty, and a chance to use creativity as a tool of healing or prayer.

My hope is that through sharing my own faith journey and struggles, along with offering meaningful faith-based products and classes, that I can offer a small token of the healing peace that comes from finding stillness in God.
